Handmade Leaf Dragon Sculpture
This little insect loving dragon that changes its colour based on the season consists of 9 parts which I originally sculpted with clay from Chavant Castilene and then cast with resin after making molds for each of them. For painting I use acrylic model paints from Vallejo and a mixture of satin and matt varnish for the sealing. The eyes are made with clear epoxy resin lenses which are glued on top of the painted eyes to create a more realistic and lively effect.
The dragon is attached with epoxy glue and additional stabilizing wires to the mushrooms which are created the same way as the dragon and consist of 3 parts. The base is covered with real dried moss.

The height is measured from the bottom plate to the highest point of the wings, and the width is measured from the outer tip of the left wing to the one of the right wing.
